What are you looking forward to most as a Pet Visitor for Canine Company? I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to meet many different animals and to foster a happy and enjoyable experience for them.

What do you like to do when you are not working? Spend time with family, friends, and my pups, travel, and bake.
What is your favorite pet memory? One of my favorite pet memories is the first time I met Harley. The moment I saw him, my heart absolutely melted. He is so sweet, friendly, and loyal! 

Ami

Ami grew up in Fairfield, CT with nothing short of a zoo in her home. She has a total of 19 pets that include dogs, cats, turtles, various reptiles and a goldfish pond! Ami looks forward to providing love and care for pets while their families are away. She is kind, caring and a natural caregiver, so Canine Company was an easy choice for her. When Ami isn’t taking care of her household full of pets she likes to read, garden, dance and explore.

Favorite Pet Memory: My cat Rifka sitting on my crossword puzzle every morning for 18 years!

Charlotte

Charlotte is a caring, hardworking, happy animal lover originally from Willingboro, NJ. She currently has a German Shepherd named Aesop, and she’s looking forward to meeting new people and taking care of new dogs. In her spare time, she loves to read, play soccer, and take photos. We’re very excited to welcome Charlotte to our pet sitting team!

Favorite Fictional Pet/Film: Diefenbaker! He was the pet of one of the major characters in one of my favorite shows growing up, Due South.

Favorite Pet Memory: I came home from school to find that my mom had adopted a dog. I didn’t leave the house all weekend. My brother and I had to teach her how to play with us!

Connie

An energetic, caring, and devoted pet sitter, Connie grew up in Pelham, NY and has lived in Weston, CT since fifth grade. She was interested in becoming a pet sitter because she has always had many pets growing up. She also volunteered for over a decade at local animal shelters and barns, so she’s always devoted her energy to helping animals, even wild ones. Connie has four dogs: a 3-year-old Saint Bernard named Beethoven (who’s almost 200 lbs!), a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle named Percy Jackson, a 9-year-old English Springer Spaniel named Teddy, and a 5-month-old Cocker Spaniel named Wally. Connie is most looking forward to caring for other people’s pets like she does her own, and keeping them happy while their parents are away or working.

Favorite Pet Memory: My favorite pet memory would be when I first got Teddy. He really picked me out! And although my parents said no at first, and I could not let us leave without him!

Diane

A Norwalk local, Diane shares her home with two black labs named Champ and Flo. Champ is 13 and helps hunt and Flo is 11 and is a therapy dog. She also has two cats named Rocky and Binx! After losing her corporate job, Diane wanted to focus on her passion which is helping and being with animals. In her free time, she loves karate, paddleboarding, and boating with her husband and son. Diane was previously a veterinary technician and can’t wait to make your pets feel comfortable and at ease while you’re away.

Favorite Fictional Pet/Film: Lassie and Mr. Ed

Favorite Pet Memory: I love taking Flo to visit nursing homes and watching people there light up. Some patients will only respond to pets so it is beyond satisfying to watch!

Donna

Donna has always enjoyed the company of animals and has over 20 years of experience with many different breeds of dogs and cats. She has spent time fostering dogs in her home and currently has two dogs of her own. Dublin is her 5 year old Irish Terrier who is always trying to impress her with new tricks and Dempsey is her 3 year old Husky/ Malamute Mix who she rescued from a neglectful situation. Donna loves snuggling with her pets and can’t wait to meet and cuddle up with yours!

Favorite Fictional Pet/Film: 101 Dalmations

Favorite Pet Memory: The first one that comes to mind is when we brought our Irish Terrier, Dublin to the vet for the first time. She ran to me and hugged my leg to say, “please don’t leave me!”.

How did you become interested in becoming a pet sitter? I've always loved animals so pet sitting seemed like second nature.
What are you looking forward to most as a Pet Visitor for Canine Company? Making lots of furry friends.
Do you have any professional pet experience? I've been pet sitting on my own the past few years and I used to volunteer at the animal shelter during college in Ohio.
Do you have pets of your own? I have a Pyrenees/Mini Aussie 7-month-old named George. His litter was named after Seinfeld characters.
What do you like to do when you are not working? When I'm not working I like taking my own dog for walks or hanging out with friends or family.
What is your favorite pet memory? My favorite pet memory is when my boyfriend surprised me with our current dog!

Hi, my name is Isabel and I currently live in Redding, CT. I am an empathetic, caring person that has a love for animals. I own 3 cats myself, (two tabby’s, Pepper and Lucky, and a calico, Fluffy), and I am friendly and familiar with dogs. Favorite fictional pet or pet film? It's a tie between Finding Nemo and My Dog Skip.
How did you become interested in becoming a pet sitter? I have always loved animals and, since I was a little girl, I had always wanted to work with animals. My life's path took me in a different direction. With Covid, I left my job and was able to reassess what I wanted to do with my life. Pet sitting was a terrific option!
Do you have pets of your own? I have one cat named Evie. We adopted her from the local animal shelter almost four years ago. She loves her humans and always wants to be with one of us!
What do you like to do when you are not working? When I am not working, I love spending time with my two children, Bella and Brendan. I am also an avid reader.
What is your favorite pet memory? My favorite pet memory was when I adopted my dog Brownie. I went to the animal shelter to look for the perfect friend. When I came to her kennel, she was hiding in the back. The shelter had a play area. All of the other dogs were jumping around. But Brownie just wanted to sit on my lap. It was love at first sight. On the way home, she just sat on my lap and rested her head on my arm.

Do you have pets of your own? My family has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Scarlet and a cat named Teddy.
What do you like to do when you are not working? I love to play tennis and go skiing.
What is your favorite pet memory? My favorite pet memeory is taking my brother's German Shepherd puppy to the beach for the first time.

Lesley

Lesley is very open and easy to talk to. Although her hometown is Tenafly, NJ, she now lives in Connecticut. She grew up with a dog and three cats, and over the years she has fostered many pets, including a litter of nine pups! She wanted to foster dogs while her daughter (who is allergic) was away at college! She now has a dog named Eliot, who is a rescue from Tennessee. Fun fact: she is also a pediatrician, and in her free time she enjoys walking Eliot and playing tennis.

Favorite Pet Memory: My favorite pet memory is playing with my dog while I was growing up, and when my dog and cats would play with each other!

Maddy

Maddy is energetic, kind, reliable and a real go-getter! She’s a part time student and loves spending time in between studying, snuggling and caring for pets. She loves dogs and exercise, so you can be sure that when she is visiting your pets they’ll not only be getting a lot of attention, but they’ll receive plenty of exercise and fresh air too. Fun fact; Maddy is currently training for an Ironman. She’s been doing triathlons for about four years now. If she’s not pet sitting or in class, she’s probably biking, swimming, or running!

Favorite Fictional Pet/Film: Milo and Otis

Favorite Pet Memory: My favorite pet memory was picking up my dog, Paddy! I started crying the minute I got out of the car, before he was even in my arms. He came home to about 100 dog toys. We have been best buds ever since!

Meg

What are you looking forward to most as a Pet Visitor for Canine Company? I'm looking forward to making more four legged friends!
Do you have any professional pet experience? Yes. I have been pet sitting since high school and have worked at two rescues - ROAR in Ridgefield, CT and Emerald City Pet Rescue in Seattle. 
Do you have pets of your own? OF COURSE! My dog, Wrigley, is 1.5 years old. I adopted him from DAWS as a puppy. He is a Rottweiler mix and the whole world revolves around him. I have an older dog as well, Summer, she is a black lab chow mix around 11 years old. I also have a bunny, who is 9 years old and his name is Bunny. Bunny acts like another dog.
What do you like to do when you are not working? Spend time with my own pups, go hiking, travel, binge watch The Office for the 600th time 
What is your favorite pet memory? Taking Wrigley on a cross country road trip in September. He got to see the beach, the mountains, the city, national parks... it was amazing!

Reyanne

Reyanne is a reliable, curious, motivated animal lover originally from Madera, CA. She has been a pet sitter for 10 years and has worked in veterinarian practices and small animal hospitals in the past. She’s looking forward to making sure that you and your pets have the best day possible when you can’t be together. When Reyanne isn’t working she enjoys hiking, catching up with friends and family all over the world and cooking a savory meal.

Favorite Fictional Pet/Film: Homeward Bound

Favorite Pet Memory: My favorite memory would probably be what the backyard looked like as I was growing up with a pot-bellied pig named Pumba, ducks, rabbits and 2 Rottweilers who were the gentlest giants I’ve ever known.

Sara

I have lived in Norwalk all my life and have loved every second of it because I now know the town like the back of my hand. My friends would describe me as the mother of our group. I try to be as responsible as possible to make sure no one does anything too risky and make sure everyone is safe. Usually, that means that I end up being the driver for most of our excursions. I pride myself on being a good driver and having a clean record. I have always been inclined to take care of animals since I was young. I would go out with my aunt and help her with miscellaneous pet sitting jobs. I also worked at Petco and got very well acquainted with a wide variety of animals ranging from fish to dogs. 
Canine Company has provided me with more opportunities to work independently, explore more of Connecticut, and become more accustomed with a variety of canine animal care. 
Currently, the animals that I am taking care of and love are: Emme the cat, Scooter the rabbit, Chocolatey Chunk the long-haired hamster, Yuri, Vermillon, Cotton Candy, and Lemony the bettas, a 29-gallon tank with a slew of fish, Spencer the ferret, my current foster who is still looking for a forever home, and finally Mash the teacup Yorkie puppy. 
I love all my animal children. They mean the world to me and are what make me the happiest when I come home from a long day at school.
