Canine Company Honored for Support of Pet AdoptionThe Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR), a Connecticut animal shelter, has honored Canine Company with its Community Business Star Award for our long-time support of the ROAR’s mission to find loving homes for pets in need.

The company has been a supporter since 2011, providing contributions to ROAR’s operating budget and volunteer service by employees.  Last year, our Mobile Pet Spa visited the ROAR shelter to provide makeovers for adoption candidates, so they look their best when they meet prospective adopters.

Sandy Sullivan, Vice President of the ROAR Board of Directors, said “We are grateful to Canine Company and its leadership for its long support of ROAR’s mission to find forever homes for the dogs and cats in our care.”

Since opening its doors in 2005, ROAR has placed almost 4,500 neglected and unwanted dogs and cats in caring homes.  ROAR’s staff and volunteers are committed to enhancing the bond between people and pets through education and outreach to enrich the quality of lives throughout the community.

“ROAR’s mission of finding forever families for homeless pets is close to our hearts,” said Canine Company President Jennifer Hill. “As pet lovers ourselves, we are grateful to ROAR’s staff and volunteers for all they do to help animals in need and happy to be able to help their work.”
