The spa experience starts with a hypoallergenic, cleansing shampoo massage, followed by a conditioning treatment. Coats are then carefully brushed and combed out to promote a healthy shine and clean skin and trimmed to your specification (if necessary). We wrap it all up with a pedicure, pad check and ear cleaning. Additional services are also available to help reduce shedding, prevent fleas and ticks and keep your pet smelling fresh 24/7!

Spa services start at $90 but vary depending on a combination of breed, length of coat/hair and amount of time elapsed since your dog's last groom.

    Alyssa:

Q: Do you have pets of your own?
A: I have a Maltipoo named Hibachi and a cat named Sushi. They are best friends and love wrestling with each other.

Q: Why did you become a groomer?
A: I became a groomer because I have always loved animals and knew I wanted to work with them. I also have a huge creative side. Grooming is both of my passions in one, and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

Q: What is the most rewarding thing about being a groomer?
A: Knowing that grooming keeps dogs healthy and feeling their best. Even better when I can use their hair to bring out the best version of themselves.

    Kat:

Q: What are your favorite types of dogs to groom and why?
A: I enjoy grooming all kinds of dogs. There are times as a groomer I am faced with challenging behavior and neglected coats. I find these challenges extra rewarding in the end.

Q: What is your grooming specialty/ or what are you known for?
A: Big hairy double coated dogs

Q: What is the most rewarding thing about being a groomer?
A: I love knowing that every dog that leaves my van will feel better and more comfortable.

    Melisa:

Q: Do you have pets of your own?
A: I have a Schnoodle named Jake, a Maine Coon named Max, and an American Shorthair named Maddison.

Q: What is your grooming specialty/ or what are you known for?
A: Mohawks - my dog has one and we get a lot of compliments.

Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
A: Probably a Schnoodle - I learn new things quickly, sometimes I'm very active but other times I just want to lay around, I get along with everyone but like to do my own thing, and I have crazy curly hair

    Morgan:

Q: Why did you become a groomer?
A: I love animals and started working for Canine Company as a pet sitter. When the groomer position opened up, I jumped on it. I love helping pets and I enjoy the transformations.

Q: What are your favorite types of dogs to groom and why?
A: I love working with all types of dogs, big and small!

Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: When I'm not grooming I'm playing with my dog, Izzy. She's a hound mix and loves to play outside on her invisible fence and go to the puppy park close to our home.

    Ryan:

Q: Do you have pets of your own?
A: I have lots of pets! Wrangler: long haired Chihuahua. Geselle: German Shepherd. 5 cats: Savage, Misty, Hollow, Luna, and Skylar and 2 chinchillas: Callie and Pixie.

Q: What do you like to do when you are not working?
A: Being a Mom to my 4 crazy kids.

Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
A: A German Shepherd because they are loyal and protective of those they care for.

    Jessica:

Q: What do you like about being a groomer?
A: I'm finally getting to do my dream job and getting to work with the animals I love so much.

Q: What are some words that best describe you?
A: Determined, hard-working, passionate and helpful.

Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: I love to mountain bike and hike with my boyfriend.

    McKennsey:

Q: Why did you become a groomer?
A: I became a groomer to help make pets feel better! It’s truly a satisfying and rewarding job.

Q: What other pet related experience do you have?
A: I have been working with animals for over ten years now. I’ve managed grooming salons, I am a certified dog trainer and I worked as a Vet Tech for four years while in college.

Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
A: I would be a Doberman because like me, they can look intimidating at times but are sweet as can be!!

    Ev:

Q: Why did you become a groomer?
A: Growing up, we had dogs, several cats, goats, sheep and even a pet Holstein Heifer calf named Betsy! I feel like working with animals is in my DNA; even my grandfather in Greece is a farmer and a fisherman. I studied Animal Husbandry at Trumbull High School through their Agriscience Program and went on to receive my BA in Secondary Education but ultimately I kept coming back to animals. I decided to focus on grooming so that I can help pets as well as express my creative side. I’ve groomed everything from dogs and cats, to horses, guinea pigs and hamsters.

Q: What are some words that best describe you?
A: Dedicated and hard working. I will always strive to provide the best service for the pet and the pet's needs, working within the comfort level of the pet. I would rather forgo one part of the service if it means keeping the pet happy. Forcing a pet is never beneficial for anyone.

Q: What is your grooming specialty or what are you known for?
A: Fun and goofy photos with the dogs, my pet trims, and creative grooming. I also hand strip and card.

    Vanessa:

Q: What is the most rewarding thing about grooming/your job?
A: I enjoy working with nervous dogs, dogs with special needs due to health conditions, and seniors . It's so rewarding to earn their trust. It makes that happy tail wag greeting even more special. Grooming is more than keeping pets clean and looking good. It's important part of their overall wellness and I love being a part of that.

Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
A: Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I like to be around my loved ones but I don't require a lot attention and I love the water.

Q: What’s the coolest or most unusual name for a dog you’ve ever heard?
A: I met a boxer mix named James Dean. He rides in a motorcycle sidecar wearing his dog sunglasses.

    FAQs
How do I make an appointment?

Mobile grooming appointments can be booked online by clicking here or over the phone by calling 800-818-3647.

What are the hours of operation?

The mobile pet spa is available by appointment every day, 7 days a week. Spaces are limited so we recommend planning your dog's spa day in advance.

Where does the grooming take place?

Our state-of-the-art mobile grooming unit is a spa on wheels! We arrive at your home and set up in the convenience of your driveway. Your dog will be pampered in our climate-controlled vehicle, equipped with power and water so you don’t need to provide anything.

How long does the spa service last?

Your dog will emerge looking good and smelling fresh within 1 to 2 hours after our arrival--- no more all-day waits at the grooming facility! Please note that large dogs with very long, matted, tangled or dense undercoats will take longer and will require additional fees.

Do I have to be home during my dog's spa service?

Yes—in order to provide the best experience possible, we will consult with you upon arrival at your home to discuss your dog's personality, preferences and any sensitive areas. We will also provide a grooming report with our observations after your dog’s service is complete.

How often should my dog be groomed?

While frequency will depend on your pet's breed, coat type or lifestyle, regular grooming sessions will help your pet to remain a healthy, happy companion to you. We recommend a schedule of once every 4 to 6 weeks to help reduce shedding and allergens as well as to keep your pet looking good and smelling fresh!

What areas do you travel to?

Our mobile grooming vans pamper pets in select areas of Fairfield County, CT, Westchester County, NY and Metro West outside of Boston, MA. We hope to expand our service to more locations in the future!
